Eosinophilic Esophagitis (EoE)

Please visit our office to receive a specialized treatment plan for EoE.

Eosinophilic Esophagitis

What is Eosinophilic Esophagitis? EoE is a chronic, immune, inflammatory condition caused by an irregularly high amount of eosinophils in the esophagus. Inflammation, difficulty swallowing foods, pain, and other gastrointestinal symptoms can occur. Some other symptoms include abdominal pain, persistent heartburn or chest pain, regurgitation of food, and vomiting.

How is EoE Treated?

If you receive a dianosis from a gastroenterologist, we can test you to determine which allergens are causing EoE to flare. Due to the fact that EoE is a chronic relapsing disease, ongoing treatment may be facilitated. Treatment options include an elimination diet or medication, such as Dupixent and biologics.
